Austin, TX - St. Edward's University women's basketball team knocked off visiting Western New Mexico University, 81-78 Saturday night in Heartland Conference action. WNMU falls to 4-19, 2-8 HC.

Jennifer Knight led the Hilltoppers with 21 points. Sara Baca added 18 points while Leah Foster came off the bench and scored 11 points. Tammy Bartosh chipped in six points, cleared six rebounds and dished out six assists.

The Lady Mustangs were paced by Natalie Lara with 25 points and was in the game all 40 minutes. Crystal Smith had 21. Tannesia Manley put 17 points in the scorebook and led the rebounding effort with 8.

WNMU will be back in action when they host Lincoln University on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at 5:30 p.m.
